On to Shakespeare

The Trip

Leaving Bath, we drove north through the Cotwolds, passing the country home of Prince Charles and (sigh) Princes William and Harry. Our destination was Warwickshire, home of the Bard of Avon.

Warwick Castle is in Warwick, a few miles away from Stratford. Our little princesses were crowned there.

Campbell Tower (at the right) is tall and the stairs are steep and narrow. We know... we climbed it.

Memorable Moments

In Stratford we visited the old Trinity Church where Shakespeare is buried. It's still very much in use-- a wedding was in progress when we arrived.

Warwick Castle has a creepy old Ghost Tower. I led us up the stairs and hid behind a wall. Jocelyn was the unfortunate person to follow. She screamed really loud.
