Sarah Heaner Lancaster represented the United Methodist Church at the 2006 meeting of the World Methodist Council, which met in Seoul, Korea, in July 2006.

The Council meeting was held in Chung Dong Methodist Church in Seoul, known widely as the first Methodist Church in Korea.
